About Pixtide

Pixtide: Nonogram Logic Puzzle

Pixtide is a quiet nonogram — a picture cross puzzle where numbers along the edge of a grid tell you which cells to fill, and a picture slowly appears as you work it out.

Every one of the 300 puzzles is solvable by pure logic. There is never a moment where you have to guess and hope: each cell follows from the clues you can already see. The solver checks every picture before it ships, so a puzzle that needs a guess never reaches you.

How to Play

  1. The numbers beside a row list its runs of filled cells, in order, with at least one gap between them. A row marked 4 2 has four filled cells, a gap, then two more.
  2. Tap a cell to fill it. Switch to the X tool, or long-press, to cross out a cell you have proved stays empty.
  3. Drag along a row or a column to paint a whole run in one stroke.
  4. Filling a cell that should stay empty costs a heart. Lose all three and you can play on with coins.

What Is Inside

  • 300 levels in 15 chapters: pets, kitchen, garden, sea, sky, toys, travel, music, sports, winter, fruit, tools, space, faces and symbols
  • 172 pictures to find, on 5x5, 10x10 and 15x15 boards
  • A gallery that fills in as you solve: every picture you draw is kept with the day you found it
  • Daily Picture: one board a day, the same for everyone, with a streak and a trophy for a complete month
  • Quick play on any size, against your own best time
  • Stars for every level: three for a flawless, unaided solve
  • Auto-cross finishes a line for you when you have placed all its cells — or turn it off and keep your own notes
  • Four looks: Paper, Night, Sand and Ocean, all easy on the eyes
  • Daily missions, a 7-day login calendar and achievements that pay coins
  • Small download, plays fully offline

Fair Hints

The first hint on every board is free. It points at a cell the clues already prove, so it teaches a step instead of handing you the answer. Later hints cost coins, and the game always asks first.

No Timer Pressure

There is a clock, but nothing depends on it except your own quick-play record. Take an hour over a 15x15 if you like. Undo is free and unlimited, and it takes back a whole stroke at a time.

Pixtide is free to play, with optional coin packs.
