How to make an invoice here
- Pick the document type: invoice, tax invoice, quotation, estimate, proforma, receipt or bill.
- Type your business name and address, and your customer's.
- Add a line for each product or service, with quantity, rate and tax percent.
- Check the totals in the preview. Tick Indian GST to split tax into CGST and SGST, or IGST for another state.
- Press Download PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window.

What every invoice should show
The exact rules depend on your country, but almost every tax office expects these on an invoice:
- The word Invoice (or Tax Invoice if you charge GST or VAT)
- A unique invoice number that follows on from the last one
- The date, and the date of supply if it is different
- Your name, address and tax number
- Your customer's name and address, and their tax number for business sales
- What you sold, how many, the price and the tax rate
- The total before tax, the tax amount and the total to pay

Invoice, quotation, proforma or receipt?
- Quotation or estimate: before the work, to tell the customer the price. Quotation format
- Proforma invoice: a draft bill before delivery, often for advance payment or customs. It is not a tax invoice. Proforma format
- Invoice: after the sale, asking to be paid.
- Receipt: after payment, proving the money was received. Receipt format

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices you make. It runs in your browser, so it costs us nothing to run for you.
Is my data safe?
Nothing you type leaves your device. The page does the sums and draws the invoice in your browser, and the draft is kept only in your browser's storage on this device.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Press Download PDF. Your browser's print window opens; choose Save as PDF as the printer. On Android choose Save as PDF, on iPhone use Share, then Save to Files.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Choose an image file under Logo. It is shown on the invoice and in the PDF, and it is never uploaded.
Which currencies can I use?
Rupee, dollar, euro, pound, dirham, riyal and a dozen more. Indian amounts are written with lakh grouping, for example 1,00,000.00.
