The tool above works in your browser: your files stay on your device and are not uploaded. The steps below are for this tool.
How to convert a PDF to JPG
- Choose your PDF in the tool above.
- Pick the quality: 72 dpi for small screen images, 150 dpi for most uses, or 220 dpi for sharp text and printing.
- Convert. One page gives one JPG; several pages come together in a ZIP file.
- Download the images. Your PDF is not changed.
Which quality to choose
- 72 dpi: smallest files, fine for viewing on a phone or sending in a chat.
- 150 dpi: clear text at normal size; a good default for forms that want an image.
- 220 dpi: small print stays readable; bigger files.
If a form needs the image under a size, such as 100 KB, resize the JPG to that KB size next.
Going the other way
To turn photos or scans back into one PDF, use image to PDF.
Questions
Is converting PDF to JPG here free?
Yes, with no sign-up, watermark or daily limit. The work happens in your browser.
Will my PDF be uploaded?
No. The pages are drawn as images on your own device, and nothing is sent to us.
Why is the text a little blurry?
A JPG is a picture made of dots. Choose 220 dpi for sharper text, or keep the PDF if the form accepts PDFs.
Can I convert only one page?
Convert the PDF and keep the image of the page you need, or split out that page first.
