Minesweeper is a logic puzzle on a grid of closed squares. Open every square that has no mine without opening a mine. Each number shows how many mines touch that square, corners included. Use the numbers to work out where the mines are, flag them, and you win when only the mines stay closed.

Transcript

  1. Minesweeper is a logic game. Your goal is to open every square that has no mine, without opening a mine.
  2. Tap any square to begin. In Minetide the first tap is always safe, and it opens a whole area for you.
  3. A number shows how many mines touch that square, in the eight squares around it, corners included.
  4. When the numbers prove a square is a mine, flag it. Long-press it, or switch the toggle to Flag and tap.
  5. If a number has all its mines flagged, every other closed square around it is safe. Tap the number to open them at once.
  6. Look at two numbers side by side. The squares they share often show which square is safe and which is a mine.
  7. Every Minetide board is checked by a solver, so logic always works. You never have to guess.
  8. Tap Hint and the game rings a sure move and the numbers that prove it, with the reason in plain words.
  9. Choose Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, play the Journey, or try the Daily board, which is the same for everyone.
  10. Play Minetide free on Google Play. It works offline, so you can play anywhere. iOS is coming soon.
