Convert JPG to PNG, PNG to JPG and WebP to JPG on your phone

A form wants JPG but your screenshot is PNG; a picture saved from the web is WebP and will not open. PDF Maker's Image tools convert pictures between formats on your Android phone, one or many at a time.

These steps are for PDF Maker, our Android app. The app does the work on your phone; this web page does not touch your files.

How to convert a picture to JPG or PNG

  1. Open PDF Maker and tap Image tools in the Photo group.
  2. Add the pictures you want to change: JPG, PNG or WebP. You can add many at once.
  3. Under Convert, choose Change to JPG or PNG and set the Quality.
  4. Tap the convert button and save the pictures.

JPG or PNG: which to choose

  • JPG is smaller and is what most online forms and exam portals ask for. Use it for photos and scans.
  • PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, so it suits screenshots, logos and signatures on a clear background. PNG files are larger.
  • WebP pictures saved from websites often will not upload to forms: convert them to JPG.

Pictures that must be under a KB size

For one photo or signature with a size limit (for example 20 KB to 50 KB), use Photo to KB, which also sets the pixel size a form asks for. Shrink to KB in Image tools brings many pictures under one size at once; that batch shrink is part of Pro.

Pictures and PDFs

To put pictures into one PDF, use JPG to PDF. To turn the pages of a PDF into JPG or PNG pictures, use PDF to JPG. Converting formats runs on your phone, and nothing is uploaded.
